Over the past few months Trust Board member Ian Pegg has continued to work closely with the BWDSA ensuring the great progress with facilities for our disabled fans continues. This progress has been achieved through the strong working relationship with the BWDSA, the Club and the Trust.
Following on from the completion of the Changing Place Toilet, Quiet Room, Accessibility Passports and Auditory Commentary the DSA have formed a new committee and have introduced a new constitution. This will allow them to drive forward to the benefit of all disabled supporters and carers, whilst also looking to help build the membership of the Trust.
Work is underway to establish a Video that will include a welcome to deaf and hard of hearing supporters by the use of SIGN LANGUAGE. It is particularly pleasing fellow Bolton supporter and members of the both the DSA and Trust will be doing these videos.
During the closed season work that has been carried out on car park C which will now enable wheelchair users to park closer to the Lower Concourse (LC). As of the end of July 2024 all disabled supporters applying LC cark park permit have had their request met.
Future projects are in the pipeline and will be subjects of future posts on both the Trust and BWDSA websites.
Whilst collaboration by the interested parties continues to show what team work can be achieved, special thanks goes Danny Scott (BWFC Disabled Officer) and Trust Board member Ian Pegg, who has spear headed all of the initiatives to date.
