- Trust Updates
Last night we held our AGM online with nearly 200 members in attendance.
After Terence, our chairman, gave his update, the Trust’s great friend, Jack Dearden, was joined by our two special guests, the Club’s COO, Andy Gartside and manager, Ian Evatt.
This was the first time Andy and Ian had been able to meet supporters in this way, and went on to answer both on and off the field questions. Great credit must go to both Andy and Ian for answering with great openness and passion and they didn’t evade the awkward questions that BWFC continues to have to address.
Both took the opportunity to thank the BWFC supporters for the loyalty that they continue to show to the Club, and also to thank the Supporters’ Trust for all the hard work over the recent troubled years.
Andy Gartside went on to emphasise the importance of supporters’ trusts and specifically mentioned that the Club are the Trust are moving towards the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding that will formalise the continuing structured dialogue between both parties.
Andy also encouraged members to get behind the Trust’s initiative to reinstate the annual £10 membership subscription and to help recruit as many new members as possible.
As an additional statement of collaboration, every new or reinstated membership subscription will benefit the club, with a proportion going directly to the Development Association to support key supporter-focused projects. More importantly, supporters now have a real opportunity to build on the great relationship that is now developing between the club and the lifeblood of the club, you, the supporters.
In line with Andy’s suggestion, please login to your account here (https://www.bwfcst.co.uk/login-form) and upgrade to annual subscription if you haven’t already done so or please encourage others to join the Trust and become part of the BWFC journey.
We sincerely hope that our next AGM will be held with us all in the same room. But in the meantime, please stay safe and keep the faith!
