Further to the statement issued on the BWFC website today in relation to the behaviour of a small section of our supporters, the BWFCST can only endorse the club proposals to develop a range of sanctions. When unacceptable fan behaviour starts to have such negative consequences for our club, to do nothing is also unacceptable.

We will work with the club and also take onboard recommendations from the FSA and the EFL. Both these organisations recently collaborated in producing a Supporter Sanctioning Guidance document which contains the following words in the opening summary:

“While the vast majority of fans display their devotion to their team in the right way, the behaviour of a minority presents a challenge for Club officials across the country.”
