Coronavirus – We Are In This Together

- General Trust News
Over the last few days we have been liaising with both the club and Bolton CVS (Community and Voluntary Services), to understand how the Trust can support the Community at such an incredibly challenging time.
Many members will have seen how John McGinlay and others in the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust are reaching out to our most elderly season ticket holders to check in on their welfare. Where those conversations are highlighting a need to get food items to them, the Community Trust are working with Urban Outreach to safely reach those in need, through their food programme.
The food programme is reliant on two areas of support. The first is the donation of non-perishable food items and the second is for volunteers who are not at risk themselves and who can help package food parcels together.
If any members are able to support this initiative, please contact Urban Outreach on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Bolton CVS no.1 priority is to provide support to groups, members and the local community through this difficult period. They are developing a database of urgent response volunteers; volunteers who are able and willing to help and support a range of services and activities that may arise in the coming weeks while continuing to observe Government requirements on self-isolation and social distancing.
If any members feel able to support, they can register directly with Bolton CVS by visiting www.boltoncvs.org.uk.
Thanks for your attention once again. Please continue to stay safe as per the Government guidance.
