In association with the Club, BWFCST are proud to announce a partnership with Her Game Too. The partnership was announced on the BWFC website earlier today and more detail can be viewed by clicking here.
Her Game Too is a voluntary organisation run by female football fans to advocate gender equality in football. Their goal is to raise awareness of sexism in football and take steps to erase that. Over time, this campaign grew into a more formal movement with a network of ambassadors across clubs at all levels of the game.
These clubs are located throughout the UK and span the various leagues of the football pyramid. To date Everton, Leeds and Brentford from the Premier League are joined by many other clubs including Fulham, Bristol City, PNE, Stoke and WBA from the Championship, Plymouth Argyle, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich from EFL League 1 – and now BWFC!
There are over 40 clubs now in official partnerships with Her Game Too, but the BWFCST are one of only a few supporters’ trusts to become directly involved and the first to join forces with their club to form a joint partnership.
Emily, who is also a BWFCST member, has also been appointed by Her Game Too as the official #HerGameToo ambassador and we look forward to working with her on future initiatives aimed at improving the BWFC match-day experience for all and to endorse the work and aims of Her Game Too.
It's always good to remember that every time we go onto social media and tweet or comment as BWFC fans, we are all ambassadors for our club.
